Fantasy, Adventure
Ok, so I know this review was supposed to be about Beastly, but I really got stuck in this story. The only thing that has troubled me about writing this review was whether I should write it from the point of view as an adult or a big kid. So I guess I’ll do both. The one as an adult will be fairly short…. I like this one because it can serve as teacher for many children that are learning about Greek mythology. As he goes on the adventures throughout the story, he is introduced to many of the mythical creatures and gods. Even me who had to read the Illiad in college and could not stand it, loved those same gods and goddess in this book. As for the big kid in me, this book was AMAZING! It is mostly geared to those 11/12 years old, but it was filled with so many twists and turns. If you loved Harry Potter, you should read this too. Also there is the movie. I watched it too before writing this review. All I will say about the movie…. Its good if you have not read the book. Alot of things in the book did not appear in the movie which let me down because I wanted to see how they played out on the big screen as well as my mind’s eye. It is not like the book at all, but had I not read it or not read it first, I might have liked it more.
I've been wondering about the Hunger Games. I'll await your review before I think of purchasing it
