Top 10 Bookstores I’d Like the Visit
-The Strand. This picture is from 2011, but it was the only one on Wiki Commons. Anyway, I’ve met people who’ve gone there, I’ve read books that mentioned this store, and I’m sure there’s other forms of media that have this store in it too. I’d love to see this place one day.
-Love’s Sweet Arrow: I want so bad to go to a romance only bookstore. One day I’ll go to Illinois again. Someday…..
-Powell’s Books: This Portland bookstore is another that I’ve heard about in different forms of media. I don’t know that I’ll ever go here tho. I don’t think I’ll ever have a reason to lol
-Murder By the Book: Now this one is a little sad because it’s down the street from me. Not really down the street, but it’s in Houston. And still I’ve never been. I’m going to change that one day. Hopefully soon.
The Last Bookstore: I really just want to visit this because of it’s aesthetic and the opportunities for pictures. Literally that’s the only reasons lol
Parnassus Books: I’ve never heard of this one, but from the looks of it it looks like a good time.
That’s all I got for now. I usually just order books online now, so it really does,
Atlantis Books: I remember a book that mentions this weird place, but the reason I wanted to add this was because I read about it in a book actually. (Because I am me lol)
-Mahogany Books: I’ve wanted to go there ever since I found out one of the owners is my sorority sister. I bought a shirt from her a long time ago, but I haven’t gotten anything since. Guess it’s time to change that.
The Lit Bar: There’s a wine bar attached to a bookstore. Excuse me while I sulk at the fact that I never thought of that before smh lol But I really want to go. Just without anyone bothering me while I read lol
Any Black owned bookstore: I haven’t been to nearly as many as I would like, so I want to start going to at least one no matter where I go to.
What about you? What bookstores would you want to visit?
