Book Blogger Hop: Book Tracking!

Do you use Goodreads as the main website to keep track of what you have read? If not, please share what you use!

I do use Goodreads (add me here if we’re not friends!) and Storygraph (Add me here) but I also use so many other things lol For instance:

As someone who is an advocate for Diverse books, I made a spreadsheet to help me track how many I read, how many of them stretch across different genres and different weird things like that lol Here is a snip of my 2022 one. I haven’t read any yet so it’s blank, but this is the framework. And I JUST learned how to use the formulas (and I’m talking like I learned at like 1:00 am on Thursday morning lol) across the different sheets, so now I’m making it bigger and better lol

I also have this weird obsession with stats, so I copied a spreadsheet from someone’s I found on TikTok and will use that to track my reading there too.

And then there’s my book journal. I started these in like 2018 when I was really into bullet journaling. I had lost my actual bullet journal in Hurricane Harvey and I didn’t want to start over. So I did this instead. And it’s stuck. I stopped in 2020 when I found out I was pregnant, because I was so tired all the time and I really wasn’t doing much of anything lol And then I didn’t make one for 2021 because I didn’t plan to really use it once the baby is born since I am a first time mom. All of that to say…… I made one for 2022 and I came up with a new kind of set-up that will take up less time. And now that Noah’s 7 months old, I have more of a handle on what I’m doing AND I am sleeping more lol So here’s a quick flip through of my reading journals! (One is to track my reading, and one is to do fun bookish collages and reading journals.)

So yeahhhh I’m a big ass nerd lol But I’m sure you already knew that from the fact that I own a book blog lol I plan to do more in my journal like some monthly things and then add some tabs to it as well. I can’t wait to do more of it!

So what about you? Did you read all that? I wouldn’t be mad if you didn’t lol Do you do any of the things I do? Anything the same as me? Anything the same but different still? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Oh wow! That’s a lot! I’ve seen some bullet journals but never really understood what people were using them for in regards to reading. I use to keep a regular old journal but that faded off after awhile because I learn I pretty much blog my thoughts now on this or that when something comes up that won’t leave my mind alone!

    Here’s my BBH

    Have a GREAT day!
